12u LFA LL All-Star on the Rise

.

Brianna of Gig Harbor LL had an outstanding season with her team and went undefeated in 2010 while training at LFA Fastpitch Academy! She really has trained hard and loves fastpitch. We worked on he slap hitting and drag bunting and Brianna is quite a natural. Brianna actually has been training with the older players up to high school level and has put the bat on the ball several times against the big girls!!

" Brianna has improved her pitching and that was a challenge in the beginning. Her speed has definately improved. It was great to have her teammates come to the Sunday Hitting Camps and they enjoyed the instruction very much!

Thank you for your hard work with her, we will be back in the Academy after All Star tournament."

Brianna's all-star team. They are going into the championship game tomorrow undefeated.

They are 3-0 and will played Bainbridge Island for the District #2 championship in Sequim.

Overcoming obstacles in life is Emily Buckle's mission, now Emily can focus on winning

Emily began training with coach Adam in the late Spring of 2010. Dad, Richard is an assistant coach and parent with desire and passion to make sure his daughter Emily is on the right path in Fastpitch Training and Sports Conditioning.

2010 12u Sluggers demonstrated the hitting skills required to
make consistent contact and big hits during the 12u Championships. We really enjoyed training with this team in particular. The parents were over-joyed at the weekly Team Hitting Camp provided by LFA. Each week the young players demonstrated new hitting skills and perfected their swing and rotation skills. During break-out sessions the players enjoyed healthy snack and goodies and the parents took over the batting cage and had fun hitting balls too! We try to involve the whole family in fastpitch here at LFA Camps. Even the grandparents are enjoying the training and getting involved. I love when everyone can have fun, not just me and the players. We share the fun with parents that really want to learn and get involved with the kids. I think there is magic behind all the hard work and sweat...I want them to have fun because it is only a game and when everyone learns in the end just a little more about themselves. To me when you are learning and growing doing something you love...everyone wins!

Undefeated on Saturday at Thurston County Fastpitch Association (TCFA) Tournament
.
"With great hitting and base-running from all the players, PBJ's really did well. Including "shut-out" pitching efforts by Kendahl and Cheyanne. The highlight of the weekend was finishing the game to the very end for the victory decided by an International Tie-Breaker with Kendahl scoring the winning run. Congratulations!" - coach Adam

The Bluejays had a phenomenal weekend in Olympia at the TCFA Tournament. Out of the 17 teams that entered the tourney, only two teams were undefeated and the Bluejays was one of them!
.
Due to the players hard work and determination we ended up with the 3rd place trophy. The last two games were very nerve-racking for the coaches and parents. It started Sunday morning with a come-from-behind victory in the bottom of the last inning and ended Sunday afternoon with an extra-inning two-hour game victory! Awesome job ladies! Also, thanks to our parents/fans for their tremendous support. The girls really appreciated it.

Brenna Tsujikawa of Auburn Riverside is looking forward to possibly filling some big shoes at Auburn Riverside High School in 2010.

"I have worked hard and feel I am ready to take on a pitching role at ARH Fastpitch. I really enjoy pitching and have fun learning new pitches and how to strategically find strikes on aggressive batters training at LFA with Coach Adam La Serna."

" I think Brenna had some natural abilities when she came to LFA Pitching Camp over the Summer. We worked on her power mechanics first then added more spin and increased Brenna's overall velocity with core training and conditioning. I am looking forward to working with Brenna this 2010 Fastpitch Season and see that she strikes out some batters in the Puget Sound District. Brian, her dad, feels she has the velocity and accuracy more now than last season. At 14 years old and filling some big shoes at Auburn Riverside will be a big task."
